Politics is not fair game in this thread.
Talk hockey, or do not post.
Team North America vs Team Europe best of 7 series.
Play a Canada - Quebec series or face gimmick teams as much as you want over there but don´t make europeans play these teams. The only thing that we get out of these games are either shame for losing to some random mix or nothing/feeling of relief. You want to compete with an equal club, nation etc. Not things such as these.
No they are all part of the same country. The United Kingdom.
Ahahah... First a team representing a whole continent (team Europe)... Then another team technically representing another continent, but in reality just two nations & with an age limit (team North America)... Now folks even want a regional team? So much for a World Cup! What's next, team United Fishermen of the North Atlantic? Why not, after all.
you say one state that's not really that big population-wise can almost beat the other 49 together
Team Quebec
Team Ontario
Team Western Canada
Team Minnesota
Team USA
That would be great.
Are we turning this into the Little League World Series?
My Canada includes Quebec. Unless you're a Hab's fan.
Québec + Atlantic Provinces
Ontario + Manitoba
Western Provinces
Split US in 2 teams somehow to make 2 competitive teams (East/West?)
Finland
Sweden
Europe
That would be really competitive tournament!
So its not just leafs related, every post you make is short sighted and flame worthy. Your description of Quebec is actually offensive and embarassing. Have you ever actually left the GTA or are just this ignorant all the time?
This team would be competitive.
Huberdeau - Bergeron - Perron
Drouin - Brassard - Duclair
Tanguay - Ribiero - Perreault
Couturier - Pageau - Dubois
Mantha Marchesault Paquette Chiasson
Vlasic - Letang
Beauchemin - Demers
Scandella - Savard
Matheson
Crawford
Luongo
Bernier

You ask a Scottish or Northern Irish person what country they're from, I guarantee they won't say the United Kingdom. Technically they might all be part of the same country but in reality they're all different countries.
Neat idea. I'd love to see that, and it would be HUGE in Quebec. They'd probably be on the level of the Czechs or thereabouts, and that's just fine.
Quebec is finally starting to develop some more elite talent, with a bunch more on the way in the next couple drafts too.

D looks better than several teams at this tourney. A little thin on wing - lots of older role players these days but they've got Comtois, Veleno, Parent, Simoneau trending very well for the next couple drafts. And there's a ton of drafted prospects with pro potential - Gauthier X 2, Roy X 2, Hudon, Dauphin, Poirier, Aube-Kubel...
