this was something that needed to be done for us to take the next step. we've had developmental players on our 3rd pair for as long as i can remember and if we're serious about competing we need this kind of veteran depth that has been around winning. if it's bear and cole, that's a pretty tidy 15-18 minutes.

FWIW: it looks to me that the Borg's makeover of the D have inserted grit and toughness that we haven't had in a while. That works in playoff hockey.
