I was wrong (the confession booth)

Why worry about DD contract ? Every team have at least one contract like that. And the guy cou,d rebound next hear and produce anlther 60 points season.

Desharnais getting 60 points in the regular season means nothing if you have to use him in the playoffs. 5 games... 17+ mins/game... 1 assist... 3 shots... playoff warrior.

It wasn't second guessing dude, the team PROVED it was better than what everyone expected. Playoffs weren't great but the team was a LOT better than expected.

I also see it as a huge step forward for us. No cup? Okay, but at least becoming a contender is in sight now.

You're choosing your spots dude. Yes we are better than expected but you of all people were adamant on the importance of a rebuild and you created this thread literally apologizing on how you were wrong and that this team is ''ready''.

I respect you as a poster but you got caught up with a hot streak amidst a shortened season.

I agree fully in that we have a good young core. But we can pull out many examples of teams that have or had really good young players too, that consistently miss the PO or are nothing more than a bubble team.

Point is there are huge holes on this team and until those are addressed, we're just a bubble team. Things could be worse and things are looking up, but for someone like yourself who was set on rebuilding until this team is ready.... guess what? this team is still not ready.

Again I respect you as a poster but I doubt you would create this thread today.

Still want to sell Markov ?

It's okay, not many tought we would be this good. To be honest, everything is going well right now.

I would try to trade Markov, explore at the very least what returns can be had. If interesting enough, I would do it. Most fans are living in the past and he's not as good as we want to think. Obviously a 2nd round pick mid level prospect won't cut it. But if he can fetch a 1st, top end prospect, we'd be silly not to pull the trigger.

Of course, between you and I, we both know this is highly unlikely and he'll retire a hab. It would leave a sour taste and feel like a semi-betrayal after he literally vested his entire adulthood in this city. But emotions aside, it would be something worth exploring.
