I Warned You About Marner

I got so much grief over Marner. For years I said Marner should NOT be on Team Canada. For YEARS I was ridiculed.

I heard how good he is. How you cannot leave those points at home. How LOTS of players bleep the bed in the playoffs but do wonderfully when playing for Canada.

Marner's NO LOOK pass 6 on 5... WOW!

We lost possession and the next thing you know, it was 3-1. What was Marner thinking? Oh yeah, as usual, he wasn't thinking.

I hope we get a 2nd shot at the U.S. Pick up some momentum against Finland and win the GMG.

You’re crazy. Matthews is a pure natural warrior. Without his example of a true compete level, guys like the Tkachuk brothers wouldn’t know how to do it.

That type of compete isn’t as natural to them as it is to Matthews. The guy is a never say die bulldog.

It's not just one player, too often in the game one of 2 things happened when canada had the puck..

1. they looked for the perfect play instead of attacking the ent.

2. they slowed the play down and literally guys were standing still.

I hope they inject more speed, pace and attack for the Olympics.

Marner is a cabbage patch doll. If he had half the compete level that Matthews does, who dragged this American effort tonight, , who is a true big game warrior, the leafs would have multiple cups by now.

Why would Marner make a NO look pass with 2 minutes left, 6 on 5 ?

Please explain it to me. Pretty please.

Matthews is a completely dog shit in any big game scenario. He has played 6 game 7s in his career and hasn't scored once. There's a reason a guy who might be among the greatest goal scorers to ever play the game hasn't won a single thing in his career. Marner is just the same. Soft and without purpose.

And there's a difference between making a mistake and making a fancy NO look pass 6 on 5 with 2 minutes left. Just make the safe pass.

The only reason guys like the Tkachuk brother, Miller, Trocheck etc are able to be so competitive is because they’re following Matthews lead, who would walk through walls to win important games.
