DirecTv has gotten so expensive that I am ready to drop them but I love being able to watch all the Kings games.

What is the best alternative these days?

I am afraid to choose one that will remove my ability to watch games that are local.

If you go with one of the streaming services (YouTube, Hulu, etc) that don’t have Bally’s, you can subscribe directly to Bally’s West for $19.99 a month which gets you all Kings/Ducks games.

I have Fubo TV for streaming service and get all the Kings games and all local channels too (some streaming services dont have local channels). I pay $102 a month, which is way less than I paid with Directv while getting the same amount of channels.

So far it's the best streaming service I have found as I've tried them all.

Fubo is very good, except you don't get TNT & TBS

Supposedly Amazon is going to distribute Bally's but who knows when that is going to happen

I say this every season this topic is brought up, but it's absolutely wild that it's cheaper and easier to watch the Kings if you live out of market than it is if you live in the SoCal market, ESPN+ for $10 a month

I still have YouTubeTV, but only because I'm a degen during weekends in the fall and they have the NFL package and 99% of the channels that show college ball. But I don't believe YouTubeTV has the regional sports networks anymore.

The NHL should be embarrassed that it's this difficult and expensive for local fans to follow their team.

If you go with one of the streaming services (YouTube, Hulu, etc) that don’t have Bally’s, you can subscribe directly to Bally’s West for $19.99 a month which gets you all Kings/Ducks games.

This is better than nothing, especially if you are a masochist and also enjoy following the Angels and Clippers. But overall it's still a rip off, considering people out of market get every non-national NHL game for half the price.

Feel like Bally's should be more like $8.99 a month.

The Ducks again ahead of the curve on the Kings when it comes to broadcasting and providing a better fan experience.

I guess that’s what happens when you have an owner who lives 15 minutes from the arena and is active and invested in the local community, and an educated team president who earned his job based on merit and not because he scored a bunch of goals on the ice 30 years ago.

Ducks whoop the Kings ass in the Rinks program and stuff like this. If I was a new fan in So Cal the ducks would be the ones reaching me.

You've reached Salty level 8
If you saw the way they were marketing the Utah HC up here compared to what the Kings do in SoCal you would shit yourself. The Kings marketing team really doesn’t market to people who like hockey anymore. They just want casual people looking for something to do. This is why they don’t have to offer a quality product just hype.

It's clunkier to switch from Directv to all the streaming options, but once you get used to it its not too bad. I switched last year.
Agreed , i switched 2 yeas ago and only pay 11 a month/6mth's with streaming service, anyone can PM me and i will share , not sure we can post here or not. I am almost seventy and can navigate thru the two i use 98% for game , 3 remotes though lol . They also have movies and can binge tv series so its not a bad deal Unlike some here still feel like GO KINGS GO
