I need a need helmet. I have an Easton e700 and it's falling apart and the pads that are in there hold yer sweat in them when I'm finished I ring them out and it's like a waterfall of sweat soooooo gross lol I want a nice helmet without those pads and for a very large head any suggestions?

I'm personally looking at the Bauer Re Akt...the suspension fit system hugs your head great andnbeing the top of the line helmet will have the best protection. Worth out...and it's very lightweight

You're scared of sweat? LOL if those pads didn't absorb the sweat, it'd be in your eyes.

Get whichever helmet fits the best.

Not scared just gross...if you move yer head the wrong way while playing the waterfall of sweat will drip down yer face anyway so it didn't solve it just prolonged it and made it come all at once I'm just not a fan of those pads

Go to a store and try several - get the one that fits the best and has the features you want.

Yeah, fit is easily the most important part of buying a helmet.

If a 4500 or v08 fits better than a Re-Akt you shouldn't force the latter to fit 'cause it has bells and whistles.

bingo.

for the sweat thing, I've had great luck by attaching a section of any generic sweatband onto the front with those peel and stick Velcro pieces. you might then need to expand you helmet slightly as a result.

Just wash the pads. The ones on the e700 should be velcro'd and detachable.

Personally I wear a Bauer 7500 (upgraded from 4500 a couple years ago) and feel much safer and comfortable.

I have this same helmet with a 9900 cage. Its very comfortable. Only problem I had was the pads on each side of the helmet fell off but nothing a hot glue gun couldnt fix. Sweat does drip down eventually though but not consistently. Happens to me maybe once every game

The S19 helmet is just like the E700 minus the Gyro system. But the padding in the S19 doesn't hold sweat...I don't know if sticking with Easton is what your looking into but the S19 is now cheap at most places and is still one of the lightest helmets out there.

You can also buy pads separately and have a few sets. Change them between each period for a fresh set. They'll last longer that way too.

Bauer IMS 9.0 is a nice helmet. That's what I've got. Same shell as the RE-AKT but cheaper.

I have the e700 and I love it. I bought 2 extra sets of pads, and just swap them out and wash them. I put them in a little mesh baggie when I wash them so they don't disappear

I'd buy the most ventilated helmet that fits the best. And maybe look at what you're wearing to try to improve ventilation and reduce sweat as much as possible. If you're wearing long sleeves go to a sleeveless, stuff like that. I was sweating quite a bit less when I wore an 11K compared to the M11 I'm wearing now, the 11K had better ventilation, both fit me good though.
