This line's been productive. They scored the game winner last night too

#new LAPDline

Two games ago everybody wanted Lewis out of the town now people starting on thread about him. This board is like the stock market.

More like the stock market wishes it were like this board.

Pump your brakes kid, I've never wanted Lewis gone. Add to the fact that he's Sutters favorite, and he's likely to never leave as long as he's around.

So far, Lewis has complimented Carter and Richards well. Lots of moving parts. Keep it going.

Agree--looks good there and his speed with Carter's speed is awesome. Richards' creativeness is beauty there. Wouldn't it be great if, after all these years, Lewis found his scoring touch?

You would think that with the skill level of Carter and Richards that someone woudl have been able to fit in good.....Gagen nope...Penner nope....Clifford nope....Lewis Maybe!
Good for him for taking advantage of an opportunity when it is presented to him. Shicked no one else did.

I actually do like the idea of Lewis on the left side. It allows nolan to move down to the 4th line and someone with more offensive ability to take over on the 3rd line rw. However this means we now have 7 players that can play lw. So time to get right of one and get someone to play on the 3rd line.

He looked pretty damn good with Brown and I want to say Kopitar a few years ago.

Lewis is our utility player.

Just put me in coach!

I like the idea of any player that has a hot hand skating with Richards and Carter. One day one of these guys is going to step up and make that his permanent job (hopefully).

Also, this is exactly what your bottom 6 guys are supposed to be able to do to some extent. Unless they are specialized types (pkers, face off, shutdown, goons) our bottom 6 at this stage of our overall development should be guys like Lewis, King Nolan and Cliffy. All kids who are eager to establish themselves as bonafide NHLers and also want to work themselves up the ladder as far as possible.

Its Lewis today and if things slow down for him it becomes Cliffy or or or.

I would also say that Nolan has really good O skills. I don't know how they will end up working at the NHL level and I am not saying he was ever a gifted scorer but he has put up pretty good numbers wherever he has played in the past. Nolan just needs ice time like the rest of the kids and they have to prove that they can handle it without costing the team.

So far so good I would say. Ups are more often than Downs.

Nolan would be really good to try on the PP.

Put the kid in front of the net, also Nolan is a big body down low.

With Lewis on the LW it also makes this line one of the best defensively responsible lines in LA. A great 200ft line, which is creating it's own chances. Really nice to see.

I did think Cliffy did fine when playing with Carter and Richards also. I just think Lewis shoots more often and things have been happening for them the last couple games.

I like what Nolan has done so far and agree with TGhost, he has more skill to show. He seems to make things happen when he has the puck.

Like everything in hockey, it will be great for a while, then it will suck, and everyone will be saying "WTH is Lewis doing with Richards & Carter when X is scratched/on the 4th line".

Very true Frito Bandito, very true!

I don't think he's ever played with Kopi. Back in the TM days, he played mostly center.

I think when Kopi got injured, Lewis stepped up and played with Brown and Ryan Smyth and did a nice job.

Hey TG, I know you don't advocate bringing Toffoli up at this point for anything other than a cup of coffee and neither do I, but where do you think he fits in long term?

I think if the Kings could acquire a playmaking winger or center to play with Carter the offense might take off like it did at the end of last season.

Edmonton probably wants an arm and a leg for the guy, but Hemsky feeding Carter would be pretty dangerous. We would likely have to give someone like Martinez and a pick which I am not really interested in doing.

Do you have any insights on the MSP kid? He seems like he doesn't fit in Edmonton and we could maybe get him on the cheap.
