I know - probably not all that thread worthy. It's such a huge pet peeve though - I've wanted to create this thread in the past so often but refrained because it's silly. Still though.

Today's poll question:

"KK on the right of Danault/Tatar - What do you think?"

The options:

"I'd Prefer Anderson. Or Toffoli. Or Byron. Or Caulfield"
There isn't an option to say "i like it".

What the hell? Shouldn't this be a super straightforward yes or no question? Some people will like it, some won't. So illogical.

A year or so ago. A poll question "Kirk Muller - do you see him becoming head coach in the NHL again?"
The poll options were something like:

"Only as head coach of the habs"
"Only as assistant coach"
"Only as a pp specialist".

I'm going off memory here - but there wasn't a yes or no option. Very specific yes/no question - but lacking a yes option.

Poll question from a few days ago, after the covid week-long absence for Habs.

"How will the return to play be for the Habs?"
Options: "Hard", "Very Hard", "Extremely Hard". Not an option for "it'll go well". ps - it went well, 2 great games.

Ok - flame away. Stupid thread. But RDS's polls are way stupider

Yeah, in a good pool, the options should always be mutually exclusive AND collectively exhaustive (So that you can always answer one and only one option) which is pretty much never the case in RDS poll

I have not used RDS for a long time because the website was garbage, but it looks like the options are... aiming to provide support for ridiculous articles.

"In our poll last week 50% of respondents would rather have Toffoli on the wing than Kotka, fans are losing faith"
"Kirk Muller, new head coach for the Habs? 30% of our respondents want to see him as the next head coach"
"Return to play better than expected! Habs played great while many of our respondents expected a difficult week"

It's RDS... The polls aren't the only thing people hate.

Check their terrible headlines.

When it was actually an own goal.
