OT: I found a jersey flaw in the Logo story.

After i went through changing my username to honor the crest change because it now has story of the hetitage of the Toronto Maple Leafs i found the flaw in the story!

Well if they win a cup i assume they would add a vein in the championship vein section. That would make it 18 veins. They could drop one on the bottom i suppose.

Depends on how you think about it. This jersey tells the story of the franchise up to this point. If they win a few cups before they update their logo again I'm sure they'll "fix" it.

They were looking at history of the team, not thinking of future championships. Is it really that hard to believe? I'm sure if they win a cup they won't be too worried about the amount of veins in the logo.

Shanny was interviewed on TSN drive yesterday and asked the same question by Naylor/Feschuk and he respond with that they will gladly approach the NHL and notify them of minor alterations to the Leafs logo over time if the Leafs find success.

there's only a real problem if the leafs win 5 cups in the next 8 or so years

of course where the #($&#$ do you add any more veins would be a good problem to have ..

I thought of the same thing, but not about the Cups. If the Leafs win a Cup, they would just add a new vein. However, the meaning of the 17 veins (Inaugural season) would be effected. I suppose they could just remove a vein from the bottom to keep it at 17. In the end though, I doubt anyone would care about the veins on the Leaf if the Leafs did win the Cup.

this will be the 49th season without a cup and we're tied for 2nd last.... but you're worried we'll win too soon and the design won't make sense anymore?
