Confirmed with Link: Hurricanes Hire Tyler Dellow as AGM

Read his name as Tyler Fellow and started thinking about the old saying about snakes, red touch black friend of Jack, red touch yellow bite a fellow.

I also just saw his photo, he looks way too old to be a 'Tyler'.

Tyler Dellow is a true OG name in the hockey analytics world. He was one of the first voices in favor of looking at Corsi and Fenwick in the mainstream. Back when the Oilers, of all teams, were dabbling with advanced stats, he was the guy that they brought on for a short period of time to take said metrics into account in pro scouting. Him coming to Tulsky Land is truly on-brand.

You're thinking of a f***ing superstar that played against the Penguins in the Cup Final?

When was this? Tulsky said several years ago that the Canes hadn't taken shot attempt based statistics seriously in years (it was left unsaid, but it sounded like they may have been burned by the Peters experience), so it would be interesting to know if his views on the shot attempt stuff have shifted as well.

The early-to-mid 2010s. Analytical data has only gotten more complex over the years, but I'm just saying that guys like Tulsky and Dellow were at the cutting edge back then.

This man is the wizard responsible for the McDavid pick.

Can't miss Dellow
