What in the world was Rutherford thinking when he .........never mind
thats not what Mike Rupp just saidDo we really have to talk about this game?
Carolina absolutely smothered these guys. Looked like boys among men.
Rutherford, when speaking to reporters in Pittsburgh, went well beyond implying that the Jackets benched Jack Johnson toward the end of the season for non-hockey reasons. Rutherford said, “He was a healthy scratch at the end of the season. I know the reason why. It wasn’t because of how he was playing.”
I´m not sure if this is acceptable at this time of the year, at home, against the divisional opponent and after a loss where they blew the 2-goal lead. Not sure.
Have you watched him play over the last 2 months? He's not going to make much of a difference in a game like this.Lol.
Woof.
Just pray things look better with G and JS i guess...
Pens played a really good first period, but can't score.
Then Carolina comes down at the end of the period and fires a long wrist shot that Murray whiffs on.
That goal just takes all the life and energy away from the Pens.
It could of easily been 2-0 or 3-0 in the first period for the Pens.
That was a character building game. Right?

This is the thing for me as well.
After 2 days rest as well.
They gotta get up for these games.
It's been a constant problem.
I don't care who's dressing.
Yeah.. Murray was quite easily outplayed by McElhinney. That can't happen.Pens played a really good first period, but can't score.

I'm not sure how Geno centering Simon-Horny and Schultz being anchored with Maatta or Johnson moves the needle anywhere nearly enough.
