Your best option is probably to stream the games over the internet.
You have a couple of choices, you could pay $59.99 and get NHL gamecenter for the rest of the season. I had an account last year and the streams were almost always top notch quality.
Or you can go the free route and use some of the sports streaming websites out there. IMO, the best ones are Vip Sports Box and Atdhe.eu
However, the quality and reliability of those streams is often a crap shoot.

I don't think you get playoff games though.
While we're on this topic, do you guys know how I could watch Team Canada hockey during the 2014 Olympics in Singapore? I'm pretty sure it's not a popular sport there, so they won't be showing it on their national television. Just realised I'm going to be on exchange when the Olympics are on...
You might get lucky and maybe CTV ( I believe they have the broadcasting rights) will stream the Team Canada games on their website.

Will I be able to watch it outside of Canada though?
And CBC has the broadcasting rights for 2014 and 2016. Apparently they might broadcast some things on TSN and Sportsnet though.

I don't know your background, but if you're a UBC student/alum or know somebody who is one, you can use their online login to access the UBC VPN, which gives you a Canadian IP address.
Used it to great success in circumventing the Great Firewall of China when I was on vacation.
