The music played doesn't matter. If anyone has said "I'm not going to the Panthers game because they play contemporary music that I don't like", they are not a hockey fan.


There's a thread on this in the BOH, but in terms of going "old school" I'd like to point out that when there was an organist there weren't 15 minutes of commercial per period and half as many delays back then as there are today, there's no going back to that.

I agree. As I said earlier, I hate the music at all sporting events, doesn't stop me from going.
They play the 80s mainstream metal for the old guys and whatever is popular on the radio for the kids. I can't expect them to cater to whatever obscure genre i'm into at the time.
