'I just don't feel like myself': NHL players' experiences with mental health in an isolated season
Stumbled on this article by Emily Kaplan and even though it’s ESPN was still a pretty good read. Got me thinking to how this relates to our Bruins. I know every team is in the same boat but all people react differently. Looking at how Kuraly or JDB or Smith have really struggled. We struggle with everyday restrictions. The only human interaction these guys are getting is practice and games. Some of the guys living in Boston get to see family occasionally but for new guys or younger guys without families, that’s pretty much it right? Couldn’t imagine sitting in a hotel room that long, not being able to see families, new guys like Smith getting acclimated through zoom meetings. They’re human. Made me take a step back and think
