This many people actually don’t care about credit?? Calling them useless is hilarious. It builds your credit rating and you get rewards every time you spend on them.. don’t be broke and you don’t have to worry about being in debt, not hard

Like mentioned earlier I just buy whatever I want and then slice it up.

How’s this 4 pages long and only two of us have advocated slicing???

I don't usually pay mine at regular intervals. Before my limit was increased I tried to carry a balance of about 15% of my credit limit each payment cycle. Now that my limit is a lot higher, I typically only carry about a $200 balance from month to month.

I only use my card to build credit. I typically only use it to buy gas right now anyway. With the PNC Virtual Wallet and immediate transfers and payments the credit card functions pretty much the same as a debit card, with the added bonus that you can forget to pay your balance and have to pay a fee.

Ever try and rent a car or reserve a hotel room without a credit card? Good luck.

I keep a credit card in my wallet but rarely ever use it. I am 35 now and have had a house with my wife for almost ten years now.

When I was late teens to early twenties I had racked up almost $10,000 in credit card debt. Just buying stupid crap and partying and just being dumb.

My wife and I each carry a credit card but only use our debit. Sometimes their may be a parking garage that only takes credit card or a hotel rental or something like that.

To be honest I can see that if you are smart and pay off your debts on time, that using the rewards programs are very smart. I just don’t want to get down that rabbit hole again.
