How much does it cost for NHL teams to travel?

Per diem (hotel/meals) is relatively easy to calculate based on IRS reimbursement rates by city/state.

Alexa tells me it's about $2k per person to charter a plane (2000 mile flight). But it's more complicated than that Charter Flight Cost and Pricing Basics | evoJets Up to $10k/hour (just for plane). Catering extra?

Add 1-2 buses for ground transportation for the 2+ days a team is in town. (Home team provides equipment truck.)

For playoffs, the group is even larger. 3-5 extra players. Chef, expanded equipment/training staff. Owner? Maybe another 10-20 folks?

For the western conference teams that fly to all their road games I believe it was in the $2-4m/year range ten years ago. So probably $3-5m/year now.

Its negociated in the CBA are the numbers are higher than that. Just a quick google search they were 110$ in 2019.
