Zero.

They better win against the Islanders.

Good:
Dahlin-Borgen combo
Cozens made Hall/Staal line look good
Not collapsing and defending the lead in the 3rd
Ullmark made some nice saves

Bad:
Going into panic mode late in the 3rd almost giving up a 3-1 lead.
Letting that scrub PK even skate on you Eichel and have him draw a penalty.

Ugly:
McCabe going in for a hit to come out with what looks to be a season ender and more of our grit is gone.
Eichel looks like trash, if you need surgery go and get it over and done with so you're ready for the real season next year.

Cozens energy certainly helps..

Love Borgen .. Miller and Dahlin skated improvised first two periods..

Okposo played w great energy.. He should play two thirds of next games always fresh..

Eakin won some clutch fsceoffs.. Lazar played well..drove the net

If Hall Skinner break out next games it may get better.mbetter.m

Eichel isnt there.. Great pass to Sam

Ulllmark needs to play every game..

Its all ugly and bad at times like the third but tending toward good the more they play ..get touches.. We'll see

In the end, it doesn't matter.

We aren't making the playoffs, the front office and coaching staff will remain the same, and when pushed on it, they'll bring up the compressed schedule, covid, getting unlucky, and we'll make some lateral-ish moves this summer and maybe after Eichel demands a trade next year, we'll finally pull our head out of our asses.

I didn’t get to watch the game, but the fact that Borgen-Dahlin is finally a thing is good to hear. Knew that should have been given a long try after watching Dahlin’s first camp. And the feeling has only become stronger since then.

guess Krueger ll even play Irwin instead if more guys re healthy

we will never be a playoff team with this coaching staff .sabres fan for 40 yrs and cant even watch my team makes me sick .montour, miller needs to be traded borgen jump way ahead of them ,okposo should not be in the lineup periode .hutton the same ..this team has so much potential with just a few moves ..bring in a real nhl coach who has been there in the battles and knows what it takes.here is my first moves if i am the gm ..we need a power forward like A.TUCH from vegas ,i would go after kuemper and one of the best dangler and near futur superstar CONNOR GARLAND .i want NOAH HANNIFIN on the back end also ,i also want a few thumpers ,MARCUS FOLIGNO /BARNABY/PECA kind of players ..most important we need that #2 centre ..we need to dump hall for a little ransom see what we can do with skinner and okposo ,dump all free agents for whatever you can get for all the next deals ...hall wants to return next season well we will see how the rest of the year goes ..to the pegulas i hope someone sends this too you ..i could bring this team to a cup in 3 yrs and you dont have to give me millions ..just let me work with your GM ...give a nobody a chance SERGE SIPPLEY

We’ve seen this song and dance with this team, with this coaching staff. It’s not that they can’t play like this or even better, it’s that they can’t do it consistently.

Ask yourself, how confident are you that they can carry over what happened in the 1st period and 2nd period over to the next game, when they couldn’t do it in the 3rd period.

I have more confidence that the Swiss Chalet that’s by me will re-open after being closed for a year than I do of the Sabres being consistent

In the previous 2 seasons they had really good fairly long stretches and then completely fell off a cliff, there really wasn't much of an in-between. Last year they started 9-2-2, but finished 21-29-6. The year before that they had that stretch where they were 14-2-2, including the 10 game win streak, but finished 16-33-8. So yeah, I also have strong doubts that they can be consistent.

To the OP: I was thinking the same thing after the win yesterday! This will buy the whole gang another 3 to 4 games of sucking and losing. That's how this group rolls.

The difference in yesterday's game was that, as a team, we came out from the opening face-off and looked like we actually wanted to win and were willing to compete. We then maintained that for 2 full periods.

You usually don't see anything like that from this group of losers.

What surprised me was seeing Olofsson double shifting and being out with Eakin / Rieder to close out the game. Ralph stapled the husk of Okposo to the bench

Okposo has no business being on an NHL ice surface, and it's been that way for a few years now. The fact that he is and kind of has to be tells you all you need to know about the dysfunction present in the current NHL.

He should have been cut and thrown to the curb a long time ago, but these teams just can't do it!

honestly I didn’t mind him with the LOG line the last couple of seasons. They were a consistent line who atleast generate offense and coyle cycle the puck. This eakin Reider okposo line is absolutely horrendous. Carved in, in every way.

Wow! Blast from the past! I thought all Swiss Chalets closed a couple decades ago!
They are still all over Ontario. I actually see quite a few families from Buffalo drive over to the one in Fort Erie to eat before COVID border closing that is.
