How many jobs are on the line?

If not after a 7th consecutive 1st rd. bounce, then when? After 10 straight? If we win in the regular season, do the playoffs even matter? It's great all the series go the distance. But, it's not really that exciting when you know in that deciding game they are going to lose every single time. It's actually embarrassing like when David Ayres shut the Leafs down or their streak after 04 until the new kids came in. It's a new way to feel shame about your favourite team.

The Leafs set a record this year, Matthews set records. But, with that bitter taste in your mouth at the end of round 1, it's hard to enjoy it and get excited about the next year. What will be the difference next time? There is no reason to expect it to change.

So, you have to change something. For me, Dubas and Keefe can go. We've tried being soft, fancy stats regular season juggernauts. Switch it up. Move Nylander. If there is a good deal for Tavares, I'd look at it. No one should be safe.

Trotz is available, but the Leafs would need an overhaul of the bottom of the roster to play his style. And I'm really afraid that Trotz might drive Matthews straight to the airport out of here....
 
Really should be Dubas but he won't. I can't forsee anyone getting fired

This is no longer Babcock's or Lou's team. Year after year it was Anderson's fault. Well he's gone and hasn't played for us 2 playoffs now
It can't be Kadri's fault. He's gone
Can't be Gardiner's fault or Marincin (Game 6 OT goal against Washington)

Entire bottom 6 is Dubas's assemlby not named Engvall. He was drafted by Nonis
All of the D last game not named Reilly has been acquired by Dubas

Campbell. Only consistentent thing about him is how inconsistent he is. One game he looks like a superstar, so calm and poise
Then other games..... Very nice dude, very likeable. But he was given back to back years of lead. One year with 3 games lead. He had to steal one of them. He had to make one extra save. He has had 4 games to close so far. That's a lot of games with opportunities

Keefe. Really not sure how much I can blame him.

I have boycotted the playoffs since game two. Only reading the sportsnet updates and boxscore. I then watch the replays the next day on NHL Centre Ice, which I will be cancelling.

I disagree firing Keefe and brining in Bary Trotz would be a major change would that be idiotic? I don't think so

replacing Jack Campbell with a reral #1 goalie would be a major change would that be idiotic? I don't think so you need a goalie anyway because there is no way in hell Marazek can come back you just can't do that.

I don't think so. They will say two things. 7 games and against a difficult opponent (perhaps the most difficult in the first round, but who's to say).

The only one that might get canned is Keefe - Dubas and Shanny will survive this one you watch.

The thought would be idiotic but then if it were to happen, it would instantly become a genius move.

I'm all for a real #1 goalie coming in

I think Shanny does I'm not as confident in Dubas and by extension Keefe

Dubas, Keefe, Willy and potentially Rielly based off the opinion of the next GM. Can't trade Tavares, trading matthews is stupid and you'll never get fair value for Mitch.
 
I'm saying eff that if they go out and completely dominate Tampa (as they've been doing routinely in this series and lose due to a couple bad bounces this literal team should be brought back for another kick at the can... This is the best Leafs team we have seen in the playoffs in a Long time... Give the boys credit and get behind them... They haven't laid an egg aside from like game 4 which is a dramatic improvement on years past

I'm hoping Nylander, Dubas and Keefe are gone if they lose Saturday! Look at Shanahan and his days playing power forward in Detroit. Digging and battling for the puck every time he was on the ice. Dropping the gloves to stick up for his team mates when needed. When you look at this team of "HIS" because every move Dubas makes falls on Shanahan too, who do you see on the leafs that represents Shanahan and his style of team first physical player? I see nobody and thats really sad! We have lots of floaters that wont take a hit to make a play and why this team as constructed will never win!!!!

Are you delusional? Marner plays every penalty kill, blocks shots and hits people. That lazy SOB Nylander can't hold a candle to Marner! Mitch has been arguably the best Leaf in these playoff.

The Leafs can't play the way Shanahan played. If you thought the league was nailing the Leafs for infractions now...

Matthews already sort of plays a Trotz style, there isn't a system he wouldn't fit in. We'll see what happens in game 7. I don't think Keefe is a bad coach by any means, but I'd all over Trotz if it comes to that.

Dubas and Keefe would find work within 5 minutes of being let go.

If they lose none of those people are the specific reason they lost. It's all comes down to who's stars played better. Campbell is fine, if they lose it's not his fault.

Each of the big four are ppg or better through 6 hard fought games vs the b2b cup champs. Bill &!JT have carried the load a lot of game 5&6.

The only person in the entire league right now who plays the way Shanahan did is Tom Wilson. Those people simply don't exist anymore. No matter how much you want to build a team with Gordie Howe Hat Trick specialists.

The big guys have all been ppg or better, they’ve upheld their end so far. Game 7 is its own beast, but through 6 it’s brain cramps by the bottom end and not getting that extra stop when needed.
