Based on his hype and Junior production, it'll be disappointing if he doesn't end up at least a Matthews level player.

Matthews was a premiere goal scorer in his first season. He took a step back in his second year but scored over 30 goals in years two and three.

Bedard shot at 10.7% last season, which seems low for someone with his shooting ability and pedigree. He should have a better shooting percentage and he'll have better linemates next year.

I'll say he scores 36 goals and 45 assists for 81 points in about 80 games. That should still be scratching the surface of his potential.

Healthy all season and plays 80+ games? He’s certainly capable of 50. The guy had 9 in his first 13 career games, so we already know he can score in bunches. If he can stay healthy and Chicago improves even marginally, I expect him to score 50/100.

Matthews battled injuries and that may be a factor with Bedard as well. Another issue he is isn't close to being as big and strong. Great talent obviously, but it may take him awhile to hit his stride.

I expect his shooting percentage to jump a bit, as he shouldn't have to rely so much on creating his own shot. His shot volumes should also climb, so I expect a pretty big jump in his goal totals.

I hope he gets 60. Not a bagels (autocorrect, going to leave it) fan but I really like Bedard.

Can you break this down into 5on5, 4on4, and 3on3 to be more specific? You're being way too vague with you predictions.

Don't think he will ever be as prolific as a goal scorer as Matthews has been. Bedard just doesn't have the size/strength that Matthews has and won't be able to score goals in tight as easily as him.

Voted 30-40. He might win a rocket or two in his career but I don't think he's going to be a threat every year like Matthews/ovie.

Bedard failed to meet my expectations this season, averaging below a point per game in his rookie year. Despite getting all the hype and generational player label, he’s not in the same level as Crosby or McDavid, but has the talent to be a top 5 player as soon as next year.

That being said, my expectations remain high for next year. Assuming he’s healthy, he should be able to score 40-50 goals, atleast 100 points and finish top 10 in points.

I'd like to see a 50 goal 100 point season from him next year. Hopefully he can pull it off

Tough to predict for a kid with so much talent and potential. 30+ for sure as the Hawks will have actual NHL talent on the roster this year and not AHL level scrubs.

30+ goals and 80+ points would be a great season for him
