Dubas has been a failure. We haven't progressed past what Babcock did with rookies. A 1st round loss.

I've been screaming about Dubas for what? 4-5 years now? Saying he's not the man to lead this team to victory. That prediction continues to be correct. Full stop. I even called us missing the playoffs after he let Hainsey walk and had the Sparks debacle. I don't want to be right about this stuff. At least he's given up on 'muh veterans are bad' sadly it costs us a few years to learn that.

This fan base has never drafted such glorious talent. We are all used to buying said talent after their prime. Talent takes time to develop and figure it out. As I just demonstrated factually by going back in time and listing all the players and how long it took them to figure it out.

Cool how many series wins did those guys have prior to winning the Cup? Any of them go 0-10 in elimination games prior to that?

Does it matter? If you are not winning your are losing. Washington fans were all but done with Ovechkin having not been able to win the second round for what? A decade?

There’s always “a difference” with this team.

FFS they've lost 6 straight 1st rounds. I am so f***ing sick and tired of hearing how “This years loss was different”. I want at the absolute bare minimum a 2nd round appearance next year and if they don’t, then I want Shanny, Dubas and Keefe all out.

So you have one example and of course it’s the Caps. The only case where most of the guys on your list never made it past round 2. Very convenient.

And yeah I would lose my mind, I might even ask for changes to be made to the core and front office. Imagine that!

I posted plenty of examples ffs.

Literally every super star not named Crosby hasn't had an easy path to the cup.

Look up Yzerman, Lemieux, Sakic, Stamkos just to name a few.

So, you don’t think there’s a difference between losing in the 1st round and the SCF right?

Is it possible, however remote that this team isn't built for the playoffs. Too easily shut down when it matters most despite having all this talent

One Cup Final appearance is what you want for this Leafs' era that produced 3 star forwards in consecutive drafts? IMO Washington totally blew its opportunity for dynastic Stanley Cup contention with the greatest winger since Howe/Richard. Washington's record is a really low bar and still one far above the Leafs' accomplishments to date.
