How injured have we been this year?

Shockingly, only slightly above average:

I really thought with how deep we went into the D this year that this number would be higher.

That is only part of the story though. Other than Ottawa (Can we just give the adams to Maclean already:nod:) We have been the only other team to lose alot of our primary players Wiz, JJ, Dubi, AA, Atkinson, etc. (and that isn't even counting the loss of Murray). A lot of the teams above us on that list haven't lost cornerstone pieces for any length of time (again excluding Ottawa)

It seems worse because it was clumped together. Seems like a month ago, Johnson, Dubinsky, Wiz, Anisimov, and Aucoin went down within a few days of each other. We've been fairly healthy the last few weeks.

When losing injuries are a focus, when winning not so much.. Injuries, refs, arena's, fans and on and on... In the end all of these things impact every team, winners fight through them...

Concurrent injuries to key players. The quantity wasn't bad this year, but the timing was bad. We're relatively healthy now.

Only Dubinski and Wizniewski have missed significant time. Murray obviously the whole season.

Basically not much in the injury department except for Murray. Murray couldn't have been reasonably expected to be an impact player as a rookie anyway and our defense has hardly suffered from his loss.

I tend to forget Murray, like you said he wouldn't have factored into the CBJ season anyways.

Atkinson missed 13 games with the high ankle sprain, only one less than Dubinsky.

Dorsett has missed 9 games, and is likely done for the season.

Anisimov has only missed 8 games, but those span 3 trips to the IR.

I choose to count Cam's injury for longer since he's clearly not even close to being able to play near his actual potential due to the high ankle sprain.

I agree. Its the biggest disappointment of the season for me.

Have fun with that, currently on short term disability because I just had the surgery to repair my ruptured disc.

It did seem like we had a ton of injuries all at once this year, but I guess not.

Everything go well?

As well as it could, can't lift anything over ten pounds right now (had the surgery on March 6th). A lot of laying on your back for a while, can't stand for too long or ride in a car. Hoping in the next two weeks I can start driving for short distances and standing more. Also, I MISSED THE WHOLE DAMN STREAK! I went down at the end of February and my first game back is Sunday so...
