if Horton was eligible and was from the same draft year as Fleury, why isnt he at the WJC canada camp?

BTW besides Bergeron which other NHLer's will be at this tourny?

semin?

They're both born in '84, making them ineligible for the WJC.

but Horton was eligible and there was that big stint by keenan and nicholson about horton not going to camp not making the team etc.

Fleury was born November 1984 and Horton was born November 1985. The deadline for that draft the previous year was September 15, 1984 and Fleury's birthday was in November. That's why he had to be drafted the following season.

Still bitter over last year's outcome?

Yeah man what a dissapointing loss that was.. My dad who is a true canadian team fanatic whether its the juniors or the big leagues and you should've seen how happy he was when the Canadians were leading 3-1 coming into the 3rd period and then all went bad like a nightmare ... he tries to clear the puck.. touches his d man's stick and goes in :shakehead :shakehead

Regardless, one game does not constitute a player sucking. Everyone has bad games. Oh, and Canada lost that game, not 'just' Fleury.

Yeah but that was the final game my friend!

I wouldn't want to get caught arguing with a smart guy like this. He's just too good.

I heard that it was to help CBA negotiations. Bettman demanded that MAF be lubed, and poolside before he would even consider meeting again.

I'm well aware of that. Doesn't change a word of what I typed. Patrick Roy had a horrific game in game 7 of the Avs Wings series a few seasons back, and he is renowned for his clutch play. Even the best of goalies have bad games, and sometimes they have them when they count (and no I am not comparing Fleury to Roy). I am confident that Fleury's defeat in the WJC, though obviously still devastating to some Canadiens, will not hold too great a consequence on his future.

Fleury had a mediocre game, but it wasn't like the team in front of him was flawless.

The Canadian team really wants to gold. Why would they want a goalie who helps put the puck in the wrong net?

(I know it old, I just had to say it)

Well for starters, they'd need to pick out a new scapegoat if they reach the final round again, and blow the deciding game by having a mediocre third period.

But I'm sure most backers of team Canada feel much safer now with guys like Nastiuk and Glass minding the net.

So who was it, Burns or Fleury's fault? Both or neither?
