The Washington Capitals are extremely disappointed that the New York Rangers were not suspended for their horrifying act of violence tonight at Capital One Arena. The Rangers are a repeat offender with a long history of knocking our shitrag franchise out of the playoffs and we find it shocking that the NHL and their Department of Player Safety failed to take the appropriate action and make calls to get Detroit in the playoffs. The Rangers' dangerous and reckless special teams caused an injury to our fragile egos that will prevent Ovechkin from being factor again for the rest of his career. We view this as a dereliction of duty by the NHL, HFBoards and Moneypuck, and we believe we are unfit to continue losing to this team in the playoffs.

Not always the prettiest but hard to deny a sweep’s a sweep. Really hard to do in this league regardless of opponent. And make no mistake they came out and took that 3rd period.

Igor with another really strong performance.

Next round it gets significantly tougher. But glad this team (and this fan) gets some well deserved extra rest.
