For being Mr. PCHA I was expecting a stronger western bias.

Selling high on Babe Dye and low on Frank Fredrickson was not what I expected.

Oops sorry took a little too long of a break from the site to see these.

Looking over it again I really didn't know what to do after my first 7 or so. I definitely stuck a little harshly to ATD cannon in some places in the first round submission.

Then I pulled back really hard as we got later and later on. I was low on Frederickson initially but I had him in my top 4 for both rounds 2 & 3.

As much as I want to go to bat for the PCHA it's an uphill battle especially against the swarms of Senators up for voting.

Babe Dye I just didn't know how to evaluate, was only off by 7 places with where he landed

Holmes is the PCHA flair speaking, I stand by that ranking. We have a gap from 11-27 with no goalies

Ernie Russell, good looking numbers but all or @rmartin65 work on Russell really soured me on him

Riley Hern, found ranking goaltenders was an absolute mess

Herb Jordan, probably would be much lower if I did it again but would have him in my 80

Archie McNaughton, a name I felt people would include and struggled to make a place for him

Ernie Russell, good looking numbers but all or @rmartin65 work on Russell really soured me on him
Russell and Harris were definitely the two biggest victims of this project. Russell still made it onto the list (and rightfully so, IMO), but Harris didn't. I wonder how/if this affects his ATD value, although I guess that's probably not a discussion for this board.

Riley Hern, found ranking goaltenders was an absolute mess
I think everyone feels this way, haha. I still don't know if I like Hern making it onto the list- was he ever really better than the 3rd best goalie in any given year? And his longevity wasn't particularly exceptional relative to his peers to make up for it (10 seasons for Hern, vs 16 for Moran, 13 for LeSueur, I think Nicholson played more as well).

Herb Jordan, probably would be much lower if I did it again but would have him in my 80
You know, I think you are probably right about Jordan. Thinking about it, I'm not entirely sure that there should be a massive gap between Ernie Russell and Jordan. Russell had the benefit of playing for a dynasty and in what was probably the hockey capital of the world at the time. Jordan played for a team that rarely saw much success, and in a city who we still don't have an easily accessible paper for to comb through scans. Without checking my files, I think Quebec City was also one of the teams that had a lot of UNK goals due to the lack of coverage. Don't quote me on that, though.

Archie McNaughton, a name I felt people would include and struggled to make a place for him
McNaughton just has such a short career- only 3 full seasons (and two others with 1 game each) for a total of 24 games. Playing in an era with sparse coverage, he was fighting an uphill battle here.
