THN published a little piece on my collection a few years back in their magazine (which has only grown since then) and it was appropriately titled “Hockey Hoarder.”![]()
That’s a great quality scan of the piece. Thanks for that!

He should've had birds instead. Plenty of material to line the cage bottoms.... I knew a guy who for whatever reasons collected newspapers, like the JFK Assassination issues, MLK, Bobby Kennedy, Moonwalk etc from the NY Times to the Washington Post & just on & on & on ... said he had pets, cat & dog but good luck with that. Prolly starved to death, sealed in somewhere... remains petrified.![]()

Guys, I just purchased The Trail Of The Stanley Cup - Volumes 1, 2, 3.
Not the leatherbound editions..and no dust jackets, but I’m ridiculously excited to get these. The holy grail of hockey history books.
Everything else on my to-read list has just been pushed to the side until all 3 volumes are read cover to cover.
.... thrift store score?![]()
Unfortunately not. Would have been much cheaper.![]()

Hey guys
I've read through a few hockey books and biographies, and I'm looking for something good that I haven't read. Preferably non-fiction. Here are the ones I've read
The Game by Ken Dryden
Winning: Nothing Else, Patrick Roy by Michel Roy
99 Stories of the Game by Wayne Gretzky
Jeremy Roenick biography
Theo Fleury book
The Game of Our Lives by Peter Gzowski
Boy On Ice: The Life and Death of Derek Boogaard
Tough Guy by Bob Probert
Do you guys recommend any other books?

Dude, you're fantastic. I can see it now - bachelor pad, clothes in a ball in the corner, Doritos in the cupboard, and hockey mags in pristine condition in all of your dresser drawers.![]()
