Hockey helmet color

Just spotted good deal of Bauer 4500 helmet at local department store. It was available in two colors, black and white. Which one I should choose? I have not had helmet for years and I will probably use this for a decade, so the decision is important.

I like both of the colors and they are probably most popular colors of hockey helmet's in generally. Right now I don't play in a team, so if I need some day red- or blue-one, It would not be a problem. This would be for pond hockey and open rink's.

I have long black hair, and if I use jersey's they are mostly dark.

If you play outside regularly in the sun, get the white. Otherwise, black is pretty much a standard color.

I'd go with white personally. I figure if it gets cracked or something, it's easier to spot, plus it really won't clash with any jersey colors if you care about that sort of thing.

Black. Most teams use black. Always go black for helmets, pants, and gloves.

However it MUST fit your head...if not then don't consider it

Both black and white go with most anything, guess it depends on if your skates/gloves/pants are lighter or darker in color.

Seriously, that's a really bad idea. Acetone will damage the plastic, which isn't that good for your safety. And leaving the cage flapping around is an excellent way to ensure that it'll interfere with your vision.

I would, however, recommend the CCM 480. Easy to see out, comfortable chin cup. I hate bauer truvisions with a passion- those double bar things screw with me.

My first hand-me-down helmet when I was about 6 or 7 was a crappy stained white helmet, since that day all of my helmets have been white. Black is more common and usually matches gloves and skates (that are also commonly black) so you'll stand out a bit more with a clean white helmet.
