Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Agreed with PJB, thought the relationship started last year or something. Apparent they have tons of respect for each other. Guess we know who our #2 is for the next decade eh?

My thinking on Muzzin has turned a 180° since the playoffs began. It's like he turned a corner, just at the right time.

It's awesome that Muzzin has stepped into that role so well, because that fills such a massive hole. It means that the next really good defenseman that comes to the team, whether that McNabb or someone growing into the role or a free-agent acquisition, can slot into the second pairing with Voynov.

muzzin finally playing up to potential and I'm very happy that he's stepping up. I now consider him a step above voynov
though better, his bonehead pass up the middle last night almost cost us last night.

I'm not in favour of a long term extension. Just look at Slava and his play since he signed his. I haven't had the hatred for Muzzin that some others here have and am happy with the way he's developed and stepped up big in the playoffs but I'm also cautious.

I don't think that's fair, because they have totally different makeups.
While Voynov put in 3 yrs at Manch and was a key part of the 2012 team
and Cup run, his play has regressed since the contract. I attribute that to
that VV does not have fire and passion. He no longer even skates hard and
is often very lax. Muzzin works much harder and seems to have drive.
He has improved in all areas of the game and is getting better monthly.
And it sounds like Drew is very happy to have Muzz as his partner.
Why ruin something, by not getting Muzz locked up longterm. Sounds
like Drew would be happy to be partnered with him for several years.

I would be fine with a minimum 3 year deal. It's obvious Muzzin enjoys being partnered with Drew and would not want to let him down by not working as hard or caring as much as Drew does. This very well could be our Keith/ Seabrook type pairing, but potentially better and younger.
