I personally think they have most of the above - lots of teams do more with less talent. I don’t believe they’re not trying hard but they struggle to limit errors which is extremely mental. To me it’s Lack of Will and Lack of mental fortitude. They constantly show that they can’t handle pressure well.

Matthews' struggles is one of the major reasons why the team has hit the ditch. When your 60 goal man regresses to a scoring rate of 32 goals for 20% of the season, your team will not have success.

I agree, but the team itself does not have the jump, engagement, organization, or whatever else it needs to pull together. It suggests much deeper issues with the franchise.

Matthews has no freedom to his game. He’s swallowed up out there. Keefe’s system isn’t conducive to his success right now and it shows at 5v5. This team is not hard to play against and it starts from there.
