Nepotism is one thing, but I think it's fine to reward someone local who developed through the Jr. Sharks in the late 7th round.
Speaks to how much the local youth programs have grown and provides an example for other youth players in the Bay. Hoping this leads to more Jr. Sharks drafted in the future.
Reese earned it anyways if you look at his numbers. He'll have a chance to further prove himself at a legit D1 soon, Mankato.
