He got some tips from his brotherVery tall players . Someone tell MG that he's a GM of an NHL team, not NFL or NBA.
The average height in the NHL is 6'1... Lund is listed at 6'2, not exactly a giant.Very tall players . Someone tell MG that he's a GM of an NHL team, not NFL or NBA.
They also say he's not a 200 ft player either. From the scouting reports he's a great skating, creative offensive-first winger that is good in transition.

Hating on this pick because he's 6'2. Really?Sure, but some are hating on the pick because he's 6'2? He's seen as a very one-way offensively skilled guy, the kind of boom/bust that people like past the 1st round.
Concerning since the Dolphins have been horrible for a long timeHe got some tips from his brother

They might have had someone else in mind for the pickThe second comment on this post is someone saying "Hate it." Is there any reason to hate it other than seeing his height and thinking he's not skilled enough?
Some of the first words out of his mouth were “we need to get bigger and tougher to play against”. I thought of draft picks when he said that and got nervous.Very tall players . Someone tell MG that he's a GM of an NHL team, not NFL or NBA.
People said I was wrong for worrying about that statementSome of the first words out of his mouth were “we need to get bigger and tougher to play against”. I thought of draft picks when he said that and got nervous.

Or perhaps they were looking for the "in your face" element to his game.
It's rather absurd to think height equates to less skill
I thought that was mainly because he was on nobody's radar/wish list and was a reachIt's the reason some people dislike the Bystedt pick. There were a lot of people last night thinking he was some bruising untalented centre instead of a good skating skill guy.

If he was hired after the draft I wouldn’t have, but since it was literally right before the draft I knew he’d likely apply it in the first area he could.People said I was wrong for worrying about that statement

Yeah I do think people tend to look at big and think slowIt really looks like small and fast players are en vogue to the point that people actively dislike players with size and I think had the Sharks kept 11 OA and drafted Geekie it would have exploded.
