OHL backups don't need to be taken in the 2nd round. Especially when you don't have a 1st.

Well, if he pans out, it's the perfect time for it. 3-4 years until he makes the NHL, then a couple of years as backup and then maybe reversed roles in Lundqvist's last year.... Don't really like taking a goalie that early though, too much crapshoot.
 
I knew they were taking a goalie. Just didn't think with their first pick.

They obviously went for need. Hes not highly rated or ranked at all.
 
I'm sure Allaire has looked at this guy. Clark was saying he thought that there were a lot of good goalies and hopefully this guy will be fine.
 
Package both 3rd picks and move up to the top of the round.

What the hell were they thinking---I believe in Clark but that's crazy most likely could have taken that kid in the late 3rd.

LOL, I love the reaction. All the arm chair GM's. I remember all the face plam emoticons when we picked Kreider. You hit the cherries on a goal tender and you can go far.

Hank was what? 7th round pick?

Yeah they should listen to you. Im sure you have spent countless hours scouting all these kids
 
Looks like Halverson has really good ability but the Rangers need size and strength. I am sick of this team getting pushed out of the way like rag dolls.

We could've gotten a good goalie in the 3rd or 4th. What was all that Shesterkin talk?

Karlsson, Point, and Martin still there. Combine star Sadowy too.

What are you talking about all I said was we had other areas of need and that I thought he would be available later in the 3rd.

Keep your comments to your self.

Everyone has their own players that they like.
