Still Josh Doan, people are going to be surprised this season by him and they shouldn't be.

Why would we sleep on him? He doesn't look like a good pillow.

Exactly. Some Sens fans tried to do the same thing with Tyler Boucher for years but I never fell for it

"Prospect Info: Tyler Boucher (RW/LW) - Don`t sleep on Tyler Boucher"

I even said at some point :

"Well, thankfully I didn't listen to this advice or I wouldn't have slept in almost 2 years"

His preseason hasn't been very promising.
How so? Has all of Byrnas struggled adjusting to the higher league or just Lindstein?

Not gonna lie, I don’t get to view many SHL preseason games haha. Do you know where one could at least view scoresheets and game summary data…maybe even video highlights? All I can find are some aummaries written up in Swedish on the shl.se website.

He’s projected quite higher than that

Roy then the Mailman

It would be amazing, but in reality, I think that we have a Tyler Toffoli 2.0 in Joshua Roy

I don't expect him to be the machine he was in Sherbrooke, but he should come up as a solid two-ways forward, a bit on the slow side but with a high Hockey IQ, he's a A+ playmaker and with a solid shot

He ain't going to put 100 points ever, but 60 points on the second line seems like a solid possibility

More like 60 goal scorer

Bro would be a God in Quebec if it were to happen

I'd say that's true for Mailloux. For Roy though, his hype is hurt by being a Habs prospect. Dude has 26 games in the NHL and looks to slot into the top 6 this year, he's already better than some of the picks will be in the NHL.
He won’t bump Newhook off the 2nd after putting up 34P in 55gp last season

Honestly if they wernt habs prospect they prob wouldn’t even be an option to vote
that a joke? You’re implying I’m listing them purely because of homerism?

Mailloux past 2 seasons:

Roy past 2 seasons:

yeah 46G in 55GP as a 19 year old in the same league as your beloved Luneau + 11P in 7GP in the WJC, flourished with Bedard.

Crazy to vote Roy or Mailloux in the top 50, but Luneau at #35 makes sense why exactly? Luneau hasnt even played in a pro league yet!

other prospects lists:
McKeen's: Roy 35th, Mailloux 45th (not incl 2024 draft)
Button (Feb 24): Roy 30th, Mailloux 38th (not incl 2024 draft)
Wheeler: Roy 68th, Mailloux 79th (including 2024 draft)

And here you are saying they dont have a place in the top 80??? give your head a shake.

I can just imagine if either were a Duck, you wouldve been voting for them 20 spots ago considering how much you were pushing Zell and Luneau.

As annoying as it is seeing some Hab homers here, it’s equally as annoying seeing posters who automatically disregard Habs prospects just out of spite.

btw, Luneau..... McKeen's have him as an honourable mention, Button not in his top 50, Wheeler has him 77th. And from what I see you were voting him at #34.

Kettle meet pot. Seems like youre just as bad. Dont be such a hypocrite next year.

Funny how no ones complaining about the Canucks or Wings prospects that also went high on this list. Just always anti-Hab remarks from the same posters.

Logan Mailloux is 21 years old and just scored 47 pts in his first AHL season, has size, and plays a premium position.

Sure he may be a piece of dirt but the blowback from that is only getting weaker as time goes on. I guess past behaviour could indicate risk of future controversy, but I think at this point it’s more HF bias over past behaviour as opposed to future risk.

trust me, its a lot more about being "anti-Habs" than it is the incident from years ago.

The case for Joshua Roy seems unimpressive to me. He doesn't have size or speed, he scored 32 pts in 41 AHL games, which a lot of these other prospects have topped. Heck Josh Doan had a better scoring pace in the NHL, and has better physical gifts.

My understanding is that he doesn't really use his size the way you'd like. And he's a poor defender. How many one-way offensive D are we going to vote into our poll? So many of those guys are low value in the NHL.

Was more targeted at mailloux(I’ve defended Roy before)

I was implying that they get more hype because they are habs prospects , nothing to do with you, but throw your fit.

I felt comfortable voting Zellweger around the same area as hutson... if hutson went further down i would have voted zellweger further down(said that from the start)... i see them both pretty comparable (even prior to the draft when i was hoping wed go for hutson).

So the only ranking you have that includes this years draft(like these polls do), has them 68th and 79th(79 is pretty close to 80, so maybe i wont give my head a shake).

Luneau had health issues of course he isnt going to get a lot of ranking love, but he did play in the AHL and the NHL this season, so wrong about the pro league thing.

Luneau as a 19 year old had 83 points, 20 goals in 65 games while playing very solid defense... funny you put roy up against that instead of Mailloux.

Im the one listing the players.... My choices have nothing to do with any influence/hype from any Hab homer posters here. I assure you that. Plus, I only started listing Roy recently, and Mailloux was partially because of the lack of Dmen, as many have gone in the top 35.

So the only ranking you have that includes this years draft(like these polls do), has them 68th and 79th(79 is pretty close to 80, so maybe i wont give my head a shake).
so then adding about 15 to the other 2 rankings has them 50th/60th McKeens and 45th/53rd Button.

Fact of the matter is, at this point in the poll, I would say 40-80th are one big tier. It is what it is when were trying to compare prospects.

I mean to leave off any player whos relatively young and scored a lot at the AHL level (or NCAA, KHL, SHL) would be dumb. THeyre all there: Roy, Mailloux, Geekie, Kemell, Samoskevich... already voted: Kulich, Bourque, Lambert, Perreault, McGroarty, etc

Luneau had health issues of course he isnt going to get a lot of ranking love, but he did play in the AHL and the NHL this season, so wrong about the pro league thing.
a whopping 13 games combined

I was comparing 2 players of the same league (QMJHL), which would make sense. Someone (mightve been you) had knocked Roy because "producing in the Q means nothing".
