So I just stumbled on this Minnesota Wild, one man show - game thread that I have already read before years ago, but wich is still one of my all time favorites here. And I don't think i'm the only one, because that one is absolute gold There were maybe 4 pages of actual game day thread against Calgary and then the rest of the pages were just people giving it the thumbs up it deserved

So it got me thinking that wouldn't it be time to bring all the best ones in one thread? (I tried to use the search, didn't find one that would be already done) I remember reading some absolute gems here and laughing my ass off, but just can't remember enough of them to actually find them. And i really could use some laughs, so this would be mighty helpfull!

There are the ones that are funny by mistake (for example I think one time there was some funny writing errors in the OP that made the whole thread hilarious when others continued to do that also).

There are those threads that are just funny beacuse they are funny. And there are threads that maybe aren't so funny but are interesting as hell.

All kinds of great/legendary/funny threads are welcome and greatly appreciated.

I'll kick this thread off with Minnesota Wild one. If you haven't seen it, you should. Remember this was all done when the game was going and he just kept going by himself when nobody else would

IIRC, ESPN knows hockey was the thread name and they used Bronson Arroyo's head on I believe a Carolina Hurricane.

It's really a shame the archives got nuked. Olli Jokinen and Turkey Girl was an all-time great. I was inspired to stop lurking because of the MS Paint thread from 2009. The John Tavares ethnicity thread was good. Can't forget about Claude Giroux adjusted points. For Forum 26 (Carolina), the Anton threads were lost; at one time starting in 2010, the majority of the Carolina posters had Anton in their user name.

I'll second this. The Turkey Girl thread was the funniest thing I've ever seen on the internet. It's a shame that it's been lost.

Another candidate - wasn't there a thread way back (mid 2000's) when somebody tried to argue that a fairly average defenseman (perhaps Martin Skoula?) was better than Nicklas Lidstrom due to "puck poise"?

I also distinctly remember a thread from 2006 where someone was adamant that Petr Prucha was better than Crosby.

Just the Internet Archive to my knowledge and not only are the captures spotty there (understandably so), but also you need to know the thread number to avoid spending a good amount of time trying to locate what you're looking for.

Dude with a new coffee maker in the lounge was epic , teemu retiring with 756 goals was fun.
One i remember was a thread where a guys gf new nothing about hockey so he asked her for team names based on logos..ima get you cats was florida.
There was a thread where people made logos and all things hockey in paint.. funny as hell.
