Either Teemu or Getzlaf is a good answer.

Yup. I'd still go with Selanne. But Getzlaf is the only other guy with good case. Kariya was the first face of the franchise, but even during that time Selanne for all intents and purposes was about equal in name and face recognition. And considering all that happened after 2005 there really is no was put Paul ahead of Teemu.

Although, now that I think of it, I kind of want to put Kariya on the same level with Getzy. But I can't. I just would want to.

Selanne due to longevity with the team. Pronger was the best player though...

You should define criteria for those, because if I think of the Ducks I think
Kariga or Getzlaf

If I think whos the duck with the best career I think Selanne

If I think the best duck ever, its either Jiguy in 06 or Prongs in 07.

I'm surprised by the lack of Kariya. I get the Selanne argument but Kariya isn't getting enough mention in this thread.

Teemu was the better player here, played here for longer and won a cup here. It’s clearly him over Kariya. Getzlaf is also ahead of PK in terms of who was better in Anaheim.

If we're talking peak it's Kariya.

Career it's obviously Selanne or Getzlaf, but I doubt anyone who discounts Kariya was an active watcher from 96-01.

On an island
Giguere has to be top-3; maybe even higher since he was a very integral reason why Anaheim won their only Cup.

And broke my 10 year old heart.

I was an avid watcher most of that period and I still take peak Teemu as a Duck over PK. If we are including playoffs I take peak Getzlaf over him too.

I went Kariya. He was so f***ing good. I also associate him with the Ducks a lot more than Selanne, so when I think of who had the greatest Ducks career, he's the first name that comes to mind.
