======================
I've had an idea. Let's decide who the greatest players in Avalanche history are.
  • You decide what "greatest" means.
  • Only judge players based on their Avalanche careers. This means no extra points for Sakic's time with the Nordiques, or Ray Bourque's time with the Bruins.
  • Poll will be open for a few days.
  • Each time you vote, suggest a player who should be added for the next round.
  • If there's no consensus on who should be added I'll just pick the next player who's played the most games.
  • Here's a list of everyone: Colorado Avalanche all-time player list at hockeydb.com

I don't understand why - if we are going strictly based on Avalanche careers - Tyson Barrie isn't an option but bottom sixers who spent less overall time here like Yelle and Hinote, and the ultimate 4th liner McLeod are.

McLeod was added because the thread before he was added there wasn't really a consensus on who should be added. I'm only adding who people are saying.

You are vastly underrating Yelle's contributions to those cup winning teams imo. Dude was a PK stud.

Voting to add whichever of Klemm or Gusarov gets the most support

Edit: Just waiting for more vote splitting among the 90s/00s Cup winners voters to get Duchene in ahead of where he would be if we could all agree on an order

I think Bourque for me here. He may have had a short Avs career, but he was still a damn good player even at that age, and he was part of probably the greatest single moment in Avs history in 2001. That should boost him a lot higher than your average rental guy.

Add Barrie, he spent all of his best offensive years here.

Ive been voting for Stastny for what feels like years. Yall on crack.

Actially he should have been on there after either Lemieux or Kamensky. I'd have him above Varly, Deadmarsh and Ozolinsh. But that's the beauty of the poll, we all just use our own criteria.
