======================
I've had an idea. Let's decide who the greatest players in Avalanche history are.
  • You decide what "greatest" means.
  • Only judge players based on their Avalanche careers. This means no extra points for Sakic's time with the Nordiques, or Ray Bourque's time with the Bruins.
  • Poll will be open for a few days.
  • Each time you vote, suggest a player who should be added for the next round.
  • If there's no consensus on who should be added I'll just pick the next player who's played the most games.
  • Here's a list of everyone: Colorado Avalanche all-time player list at hockeydb.com

Blake. He’s the best of the players on there. Tied in Cups with them (except Paulie Walnuts). Sitting right around the number of games played of most of the old guys

Condor is far and away my favourite player on here but I don’t think that his games played makes up the gap in player quality

This should be EJ. Blake was the better player, but this isn't a hall of fame induction. This is about the greatest guys for our franchises since coming to Colorado. EJ has been through hell and back for this team and helped end our darkest of times. Blake pretty much just showed up for some victory laps.

Yeah, and he was f***ing so good, though.

And more importantly his tenure runs from ages 5-11 for me. At the same time there might not be a whole lot of support for Kamensky from me.

EJ gets my vote because of how much I saw him suffer.

Gets a little tough now... I'll go with Blake even though I hate him for what he did to Mueller

Add the 2nd best goalie in Avs history - Varly

Blake played 14 seasons with the Kings, and only 5 with the Avs. He isn't an Av. He's a King. And if you're saying he and Bourque are both Avs, why wouldn't Bourque be higher?

Voted Deadmarsh.

Edit: Add Varly.

People are sleeping on how good Kamensky was back in the day. I voted for EJ due to his longevity (and also he was pretty good once upon a time), but Val 1.0 was a silky smooth player.
