You don't have to send in your lists right now if you don't want. You can just start naming your top performances to get the ball rolling.
Idea
From Game 1 of the First Round of the 2006 Playoffs to Game 5 between the Kings and Rangers in last year's Stanley Cup Final, the goal of this thread is to find who HF thinks had the greatest single-game performance. I will adjust how big of a list I'll do for the "reveal" based on how many lists I get.
I decided to make it from the 2004/05 Lockout up until now so we get more consistent and well-informed lists.
Criteria for Lists
- All forwards, defensemen and goalies can be considered and will all be ranked in the same list
- The stage of the game DOES matter. Was it game 1 or a do-or-die game 7? Was it the 2nd Round or the Stanley Cup Final? It's up to you how much you want to let that affect your opinion, but just know that it should be something that you should consider.
- While stats are a good reference point, you aren't limited to just considering statistics. Maybe a player was in on some very crucial goals, a D-man came up big with a lot of key minutes, or a goalie had a ton of great, key saves, even if their statlines weren't as impressive as others.
Voting
- I encourage posting your lists in this thread to encourage discussion, but you can PM me as well.
- You can list a maximum of 20 (which would be better for voting results), a minimum of 5 (just so it's worth actually voting), or any number in between
- #1 on a list will get 20 points, #2 will get 19 points, all the way down to #20 getting 1 point. If you submit a list of 5, it will be a 20, 19, 18, 17, 16 scoring system.
- Make sure you're clearly numbering your list
- Please no joke lists or spamming a certain player/team. I'm going to use my discretion to omit obvious joke lists.
