I actually just looked this show up yesterday and... acquired... all the episodes. I'm wondering why I never heard about it even once because it's right up my alley.

When shows are on the CW I'm a little hesitant, but Arrow hasn't let me down yet so I'll watch a few episodes of The 100 tonight.

You (and I since I just recently found it on Netlfix) hadn't heard of it (it's premise also sounds right up my alley) since it is quite rooted in crappy Hunger Games stupid kids stuff roots. The TV show does a decent enough job making it a little bit more adult though. Particularly in the first 3/4 episodes there's a whole lot of high school-esqe romance and drama but you can tell where the showrunners are trying to mature the show and it improves as the show goes on.

Just about two thirds of the way through the Wolf of Wall street and so far I think it is grossly over rated up to this point in the movie. Having trouble getting through it.

Maybe it gets better if you imagine DiCaprio being the ghost of the dead guy from Titanic?

I got 20 pages into the book and I don't know if I want to attempt the movie.

It does really drag on. It is entertaining for a bit.Almost reminds me of Fear and loathing with Depp due to all the drug fueled adventures. but to be honest I shut if off about 3/4 of the way through bc I was bored and finished watching it a few days later.

I think it just got away over sold to me so far It’s all just fluff. At least now they have added the face to face on the yacht with the FBI agent but I feel like it’s too little to late.

Feels like an extension of the mind numbingly bad version of how they completely trashed a classic F Scott Fitzgerald novel like The Great Gatsby with all style and zero substance approach.

Reminder that any further discussion about the Moncton shooting should be taken to the thread on the politics board.

News updates and such are fine, but try and keep the more politically-charged stuff there. Thanks.

Imo best scene/acting in the whole movie.

They could have built their story lines around the cat and mouse game between those opposing forces but instead they go for the cheap pop at every turn. Everything is just away over the top and they are trying too hard. I get it that Wolfy Ponzi'd up and ripped off allot of people and with his stolen money it allowed for an over the top life style but is that really all you got? The flash is something that can be displayed "while" they are building real story lines. Instead they allow the lifestyle side to dominate and if feels like really lazy writing to me.

Compare it to a movie like Casino and the Wolf writing looks like it was done by a grade 12 drama student.

No big deal really but it was pretty hyped and I expected a Movie not a music video?

This usually happens to me when I see massively hyped movies. I expect something amazing and get really disappointed. Like when I saw The Hangover, and everyone told me it was gonna be the funniest movie I've ever seen.

It was not.

I enjoyed Wolf of Wall Street, if you enjoyed the book you'd likely enjoy the movie. I totally get the crowd that didn't love the movie though.

I didn't like it at all. Haven't watched it since that one time. It's possible that it was okay, but it was so overhyped that I don't think I laughed once.

The original was great...... Your funny bone must be broken? Lol
The sequels like all others sucked

Humor is a personal thing, so I could see how one size doesn't fit all in this case.

I've never met someone who didn't think Hangover was at least decent though.

I can't get into Archer. My best friends fave carton but I can't do it. I'm through 2 seasons and re-watching friends instead. Now Louie and OITNB I can get behind. :)

Look at this photo - one would think "Awwwww, she's so cute!" NOT! So far, the kill count is now a gopher, about a dozen mice and at least a half-dozen birds, including today's kill of a Blue Jay. A Blue Jay of all things. She's a bloodthirsty little terror terrier.

Just tell him to stay away from Janssen!

Man, it's torture to buy a house and have to wait over a month to move into it. I have a countdown app on my phone that I check every few hours.

So, I'm thinking about buying a collection of The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck for $200.

By a raise of hands, how many have the faintest idea of what I'm talking about?

It's either the moniker of a political figure or about the actual Disney character. ****ing Duck Tales, man.
