Great game for Hershey. I was impressed how hard they came out after the two week layoff. Solid coaching job there. I do think they laid down a little in the third period but with a lead like that you know the other teams coming out hard. Shep looked good in net. Protas had a great game. He was the reason lappy scored and has a pretty goal himself. Looking for more from Snivley and Frank the rest of the way. They need to produce and neither had an especially good game. Iorio had a fantastic game too, worth calling that out. CMM had the game on his stick in the third on a clean breakaway and didn't bury it. Want to see him bury those home and grow that confidence.

Yeah, definitely going to need more out of him. Can't use the his first professional playoff experience excuse either because it was several guys first playoff game who really stepped up in a big way.
In other non bears news, just got done with a replay of the stingrays game. After a tough 4-3 OT loss in game 3 they evened the series up 2-2 in game 4. Clay Stevenson was good again and it seems like his game 2 shutout did indeed lock him up to take the rest of the starts for now. He's regained his early season form...can't wait to see him in Hershey next season on a regular basis. He really does have the look and style of a guy with pro potential.

Nice to see our top prospects having good games. Not thrilled to see Frank no showed, I Think all 4 of CMM, Lappy, Protas, and Frank will be on the Caps next season.
I bought the AHLTV playoffs package to watch the Bears. And, I mean, it's the AHL, so I wasn't expecting crystal-clear feeds or anything. But these feeds are awful. Like, nearly unwatchable on anything bigger than an iPad screen.

After 5 periods, if you told me that Ethen Frank didn't make the trip, I'd believe you.

Bears win, 5-1. They head back to Hershey now with three chances to close the series out at home. Defensive struggle tonight. Good team D and Shep was there when they needed him. Frank still MIA but Snivley showed up. Mostly everyone played pretty well from top to bottom of the lineup though. Good team effort.

Thoughts on the game from old hockey eyes...
- McMichael is good. I hope the next Caps coach can get him in the line up in the right role.
- No idea who Morelli is, but he's all over the ice.
- Shame Sutter isn't putting up points, good size, but not much else.
- Iorio is very steady.
- Didn't notice Lapierre or Frank much.
- Pilon should make a decent bottom 6 guy.
- Carlsson is tall.
The Checkers put on a good show. The organ guy Greazy Keyz is pretty fun. It's no Giant Center however.
Was good to be back in the rink, and the kids want t go back so thats a plus.

Morelli has been a pretty good sparkplug utility guy for a couple years now. He can be plugged anywhere in the forward lineup and does pretty well. He's seen a good amount of PP1 time as well so that probably hasn't hurt his production. Think he's 27 though so he doesn't have much of an NHL future.
Also the nicest guy on the team imo. Both times I've met him he always has a smile on his face and is happy to engage- always seems like he's happy to be there.
Greazy Keys is a legend there. They sell jersey and shirts with his name on it like the players. lol

Worked for me during the cup run...I live in a penguins friendly area and just started telling everyone we were going to get swept every round we made it to and blown out every game.

Florida winning has big implications for Hershey in that Lyon and Dalpe don't get sent back to Charlotte.
Remember the 2010 Finals where Hershey lost the first two games at home and then dropped three straight W's in Texas? That's looming large in my mind, lol.
