Heaton goal pads?

The "Heaton" brand is no longer in production. The pad designer, Brian Heaton, formerly did work for CCM under the Heaton name. He now operates his own company; Brian Heaton Goalie.
Brian Heaton himself makes excellent pads, and those under the Heaton brand tend to be quite good, however, most would be considered as outdated. This is likely why they're always on clearance.
Also, (somebody correct me if I'm wrong), but the Heaton brand was continued on by CCM until recently, however, without Brian himself doing any of the work, making older Heaton brands "quite good", and new models kinda spotty.

This is correct.

Brian Heaton was bought out of the "Heaton" name, and thusly started BHG when he decided he wanted to get back into hockey.

their is also the "Brians" brand which makes the popular beast pad, which many people seem to be a fan of.

Im personally not a fan of the Heaton/CCM/RBK family of goalie gear.

PRe 2000 Heaton gear is solid. Once the CCM buy out and the latest BHG gear came about its no better than any other cheap china made gear. I am sooo glad I got My Heaton 6800's before the buy out. I havent seen the PRO version of the latest BHG offering. THose are said to still be made in Canada.

BHG stuff is indeed made in Canada. Its a very hands on process for Brian Heaton these days.
