The real problem with this team is there is absolutely zero talent to help these young kids grow. Our star center plays with 4th liners. The one player with talent TT plays soft as hell. How long will he put up with this? They have to give him true talent next year. Even if it’s sacrificing some of the future.

It’s the same on defense. KK can’t make a mistake or it’s in the back of the net. No one to bail him out because he paired with garbage.

I hope they play Nazar with Bedard and Reichel for a game. It can't be worse than spreading them among three lines and seeing their linemates do mostly nothing playing off of their talent. Of course, from a tank perspective its genius! Edit: I left out KK. I wanna see Nazar, Bedard, Reichel, Vlasic and KK as a unit.

There’s absolutely zero denying at this point how badly the Hawks misread and overestimated the amount of impact they were going to receive from the likes of Hall/Teravainen/Bertuzzi.

Rough game, Just so devoid of any offensive talent outside of CB98 and hopefully Nazar. This roster is doomed to a top 3 pick again, hopefully the 1OA.

Davidson better add some real talent this coming off-season

No more scrap bins and merely adding NHLers on their last legs or beyond their primes

Just call up the kids from Rockford. Go super young next year. They’ll compete their asses off at least.

I’m fine with it after the deadline once we move some bodies when playoff teams are looking for depth

We are gonna have nearly 30 million with the cap going up. With a lot more money coming off with Foligno Mrazek Dickinson Mikeyeh and Murphy all off the books the next year when we resign Bedard

There is zero excuse why we don’t add a couple legit impact players. We will have a pipeline of cheap depth coming in to supplement whoever we pay

That’s how we ended up with Teravainen. This upcoming free agent class is truly awful. They’re so not need to go spending money there.

TT arguably biggest disappointed. So soft. And absolutely no confidence. I say like Brodie and Martinez, platoon them.

Then you start leveraging our assets for legit players. We will have had a ton of picks and won’t even have roster spots for all the bodies down the road. Evaluate and package a couple picks or prospects.

Again, I enjoyed the game, not the outcome. The Devils are a good team right now and Hawks hung with them for most of the game. Couple of posts could have been 3-0 at one point.
When you're not a talented team, a brain fart or two is all you get w/o paying for it. Juts the way it is.

I liked most guys today and noticed Nazar's speed, Reichel had some good plays. 98 was buzzing, 72 is almost always solid, KK's passing was good (yeah he had one that didn't work out), Allen will be a very good D man.

Another embarrassment. I'm so sick of the "well they gave it their all" crap. You can't get the f*cking puck out of your own zone for minutes on end then you're in the wrong f*cking job. Hitting posts constantly, missing assignments. This team barely looks competent for long stretches and still can't score.

Bitching about any Chicago team is redundant right now as nothings going to get better anytime soon. But it blows. I've been watching Hawks teams since 1979 and I've never been this bummed out.

I like the swagger KK plays with. If Lev and Rinzel approximate Vlasic's development this team could be dominant from a d perspective relatively soon.

The problem right now is the forward talent the Hawks have apparently won't be iced at the same time and the bums they are forced to play with drag them down. This season is a lost cause obviously. I hope the management acts on the obvious that it doesn't matter what Foligno, Dickinson, TT, Bertuzzi do when they're on the ice (they're not the future of this team) and plays the young guys with talent as a five man unit. Let them develop some chemistry!

Aren't we the optimistic one today. Must be the Christmas spirit or have you been in the eggnog already? :)
