I watched him sitting on the bench during the whole game and not a single shift......

Dissapointing, since he is my favourite non-Russian player, and in my opinion, the best player in the league...

Forsberg just like Jagr is the cornerstone of his team, and Sweden needs him badly.

No Forsberg - no medal

Well, they did win the game without him :sarcasm:

It could be that they're saving him for the playoff games. Though considering how long it's been from his last game, it could be useful to warm him up before those also...

They won the game vs US....
The way Sweden played today won't be enought to beat Fin, Cze or Canada.

I really hope they get Forsberg back on board.

Even though, I hope that Finland goes all the way in pool A.

I love their work ethics, probably the finest in the tournament

Yeah, he's recovered. He was skating just fine against Latvia, starts, stops, quick turns etc.

Good!

He was smiling there in front of the cameras, looked like he's in a good mood, which is important, needless to say.

The Swedish staff reported this is according to the plans. Although he is 100%, they don't want to risk anything in a meaningless game by letting him play any unecessary back to back games now in the beginning, but letting him get back in a slow pace.

We will see Forsberg on the ice again on tuesday, when Sweden will finally play the lines they are using in the playoff.

Yeah, it was probably a good move by team Sweden. This way he got almost three days of extra rest and will be ready to go in the quarter final rehersal against Slovakia. It's gonna be VERY interesting to see how BÃ…G puts the team together...

Hopefully we will get to see some special PP units. Seeing Jörgen Jönsson out there on PP makes baby Jesus cry.

He said this to Aftonbladet about sitting on the bench.

"Jag ville vara med grabbarna och känna att jag kommer in i laget ordentligt."

Poorly translated "I wanted to be with the guys and feel that I was part of the team"
