G: Huska, Wall

D: Crawley, Geertsen, LoVerde, Raddysh, Reunanen, Robertson, Schneider, Taylor

F: Barron, Brodzinski, Elmer, Fontaine, Gettinger, Greco, Khodorenko, McBride, Newell, Richards, Ronning, Rueschhoff, Thompson, Whelan

There's also reason to believe that Giuttari (D) and O'Leary (F) may also be under AHL contract. Until the final roster is released, we won't know for sure.

So there are three defensemen to follow and three forwards who are really just one for Barron and half for Khodorenko / Richards.

Springfield would have been the fourth in the division but they opted out of this season.

The divisions were done geographically to minimize overnight stays.
Considering the situation I think that’s a very reasonable decision. It’s going to be weird but c’est la vie.

I agree that Jones and Dmowski seem more qualified than McBride which leads me to think that the first two decided either not to come back to Hartford or to retire.

thanks

Schneider?

Vince reported, in summer, after Drury interview, that Giutarri was signed for this season, not just last season's ATO

O'Leary situation would seem odd if he signed a pro contract for just 1 game ...
Pack Sign Forward Mike O'Leary | Hartford Wolf Pack
O'Leary inks deal with AHL's Wolf Pack | The Chronicle Herald

seeing Taylor above had surprised me, i knew he had signed ECHL, but yeah, this was posted yesterday
ECHL Transactions - Jan. 21

EDIT - i still remain curious about last year's Pack depth F's, still seemingly unaffiliated, Dmowski (CT product) and Nick Jones (ex-No Dak, seemed more qualified than at least McBride)

at this very early stage of their possible careers, i kinda expect both to show up on some team's Camp roster

Someone asked the other day, after Skinner signed, about the other junior players playing in the AHL/ECHL. I said Cuylle would be interesting because he's at least physically developed enough to hang, but Vierling would be a big no (he'd probably get killed). I also liked Garand to maybe get a look. So, this makes sense to me. I don't think Cuylle is ready to be a pro but if there's no playing alternative, I guess this is what he does.

Sambrook is mildly interesting. He was a Red Wings pick several years ago. I somewhat remember him as he played on a team with both Raddysh's, DeBrincat, and several other good players in Erie. None of the other "new" invites are particularly noteworthy, they're all fringe guys from what I know.

I also see Barron listed as a LW, which seems right. There was something from Vince or Carp earlier in the year that made it sound like Barron might rotate at C with Howden if Zibanejad couldn't go. I think he's definitely a LW, so that surprised me.

In essence, this is just an ATO for Cuylle the same way Ty Ronning had one in his D+1 when he played 12 games for the Wolf Pack afer the season was over.

It's nice to see some of our prospects getting a chance to play elsewhere after their leagues are shutdown. Schneider and Cuylle in Hartford, Skinner in West Valley, Ollas in Karlskoga and earlier this year of course Tärnström in Haviken (20 minutes from his house).

Hopefully all these guys are going to get playing time in Hartford this year. Lots to watch and analyze in their play. I'm not sure Garand will get much time, unless Huska is as bad as he was last season.

I totally get it. But, not every player is ready for an ATO at the conclusion of their D+1 season. I wouldn't have figured Vierling was ready, given his physical immaturity. Someone like Rempe has the frame, but the hockey sense just isn't there at this point. That's all I was saying. A few of the guys in juniors are getting an invite, a couple didn't, and I see why that is the case for each of them.

Yeah, I wasn't disagreeing with you. Vierling and Rempe are expected to be further away from even being pro ready. Cuylle as a 2nd round pick should be closer, and him getting a shot is great. Time will tell how long until he has to report back but if he can get a few games in, that's great experience.

"Smooth-skating two-way defenceman who displays solid creativity and offensive instincts, as well as a strong defensive game. Can play lengthy shifts due to his conservative style without the puck, and can be relied upon in all situations. Mobile with and without the puck, and could even become a bit quicker. His size allows him to be physically assertive and protect the puck well. All-in-all, a defenceman who has the potential to become a well-rounded all-around player that can log a lot of ice-time. Realized from a conversation on Twitter that Providence gets two extra games, against Utica. It's too bad we weren't able to pick up a few extra games against some of those North Division teams (like Bingo, playing in Newark).
