I'm really glad to see Sykora taking the next step. Last year, he had 23 points in 66 games. So far this year he has 17 points in 30 games. His shots per game is up slightly from last year. I'd still like to see him shoot more. His shooting percentage is better.

He's still one of the youngest players in the league. Only players drafted in 2023 or 2024 are younger.

The craziest stat is that in 112 career AHL games (regular season and playoffs), he has only taken 3 minor penalties.

If he can get to over 0.5ppg at his age in the AHL, along with his playing style and tenacity on the forecheck, he has the makings of a really nice middle 6 winger.
