Question for those who have left cold weather for warm..
Is it weird for you to hear songs like let it snow, etc.
Strange to always have a green, warm Christmas?

Being in NY, even when it's 50 it is difficult to get into the mood when decorating.

Not me, but I had family that moved from Plymouth to Phoenix 25ish years ago. They had 3 small children and desperately needed more space. After the first winter they moved right back to Plymouth, same house they left the year before, and added a second level. They still live there.

I'm sure 90 percent of it was that they missed family (everybody is out this way) but I have heard my aunt say on multiple occasions that she wanted her kids to experience winter.

Went to the supermarket looking for discount turkey and there weren't any good prices, but I did find they had whole chickens at 49 cents a pound so I bought like six of them and will carve some, grind some, and freeze for a couple months' worth of meat

I think it depends on which seasons you like. Last time I was in Las Vegas I met a pizza shop owner who had moved there from Connecticut. I asked that very question, whether or not it was weird for their holidays to not be in cold weather. He said it was strange at first but that he hated cold/snow and he got used to it being sunny all the time pretty quickly.

After years of turkey, we switched to chickens because everyone liked them better. Yum!

It's true- I look forward to turkey sandwiches with the same if not greater enthusiasm as the meal itself. 🦃 🥪

It's true. Regardless of the type of meat, the next day sammich is often even better than the original serving the day before. One of the great joys of life!
