To all my Aussie bruvvah's and sistah's and North Americans, Happy 'Straya Day! Throw a banger on the barbie and sink a tinny or 100 :yo:

Happy Australia Day! :yo: I've met many Aussies in Whistler, British Columbia. There's quite a bit of them there actually lol, I'm guessing a lot of Australians like skiing and snowboarding. Big Aussie population there in the winter months in Canada. Cheers!

I was very fortunate to spend 2 weeks in Sydney in 2000. I certainly enjoyed it far more than Brazil - ( but I was also working baseball :laugh: )

I found Sydney to be Chicago with palm trees and Melbourne in the day I was there reminded me of Toronto.

I apologise in advance for anything us folk do under the influence :laugh:

I actually had no idea, but okay.

Love Aussies.

*"That's* a knife," doubtless for "Shrimp on the 'barbie". ... "I come from the land down under. ..." "Highway to hell. ..." "Have you never been mellow, have you never tried?.." ... Wallabies & Kangaroos. There is that aboriginal unhappiness, however ("Beds Are Burning," Midnight Oil).

In the event, to this most American of "European" states Happy Happy, and be well,

GH:handclap::yo:

Aboriginals call it invasion day, shouldn't be celebrated just like columbus day which is starting to not be called that anymore. Columbus day is changing into indigenous peoples day

Correct.

But that is a complicated issue that requires context, and this forum probably isn't the pace or that conversation.

Based on the protests in Melbourne alone (50,000 people roughly), the date will be changed very soon.

Date aside, the sentiment stands.
