Injury Report: Hannan (1/9 vs Detroit)

Just posted that in the Sharks thread but it's worth saying again, I can't believe that the elbow from Cleary didn't even warrant a fine from DoPS (ok, yes I can).

Scott Hannan won’t be in the lineup and it isn’t the coach’s decision. Todd McLellan said Hannan is out with an upper body injury and, yes, it was tied to the elbow delivered to Hannan’s jaw in the final minute of play one week ago by Dan Cleary of the Detroit Red Wings.

McLellan didn’t call it a concussion, but that would not be inaccurate.

Hannan did play the next game against the Boston Bruins, but that’s how head injuries can be and not a sign that something was overlooked. He sat out the Washington game.

BOO THIS MAN

booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Shanahan was stupid on the ice and stupid off of it. Can't take someone serious on the topic of integrity when he took Nils Ekman's stick and hit himself in the face to draw a call.

Loser.

Before Shanahan, that elbow would've gotten two games...see Dany Heatley suspension on his elbow to Steve Ott.

I would respect Shannahan so much more if he said there was no suspension on the play because it was worse for Detroit to have him in the Lineup.

And official confirmation from #SJSharks: Havlat off IR and Hannan on it.

Glad to see it's minor. **** you Shanahan. He clearly hates the Sharks.

The only call that has gone in our favor in recent memory is Lapierre getting suspended. Other than that, Torres, Cleary, Stuart, Brown (even though I don't think that was intentional)

I hate Shanahan
