Welcome to the 7th Annual Halfy/LainePeg WJC Pool! (holy cow its been 7 years already)
Hey people, welcome back to the pool, I've contacted everyone from last season and I'm pleased to say that everyone will be coming back! We will not officially start the picks until Monday!
We won't have a timer yet, but if the picks start taking too long a timer will be enforced. This can obviously change depending on the circumstances. Team BerthMania is back to defend his title from the last real year.
General Rules:
- 10 teams in the pool
- Teams will consist of 6 forwards, 3 defensemen, 1 goalie.
- Draft order for the snake draft will be generated through Random.org
Scoring:
Goal = 1 pt, Assist = 1 pt, Goalie Win = 2 pts, Shutout = 3 pts
- There will be a replacement draft at the end for players selected who are unreleased, cut, or hurt prior to the start of the tournament (it is the GM's responsibility to provide notice that they need to make a replacement pick, not Halfy)
- After you make your pick, please PM ("start a conversation" with) the GM making the next pick as simply tagging the person is not enough.
- There's no pick clock at the moment, but one might be added if we start running out of time
- Please feel free to PM me a list of a couple of players if you know you will not be around to make your pick
- There will be a 6 hour timer if we start running out of time. (With dead time from 1 to 8 AM that person's local time)
-If a person is routinely taking too long to pick, I will find an alternate to take the spot.
-Tiebreaker will be total goals.
-If a team selects a player that is already injured/confirmed not headed to WJC, we will allow repicks as soon as possible and others are allowed to keep picking. This differs from the replacement draft as the player needs to be confirmed as not attending the WJC when the pick is made. Players in the NHL that are picked do not count for this as they will need to be replaced in the replacement draft. It is the GM's responsibility to know which players are available and other GMs can pick players while the GM is repacking. The repick cannot be a player that is already selected (even after the initial pick that is to be re-picked).
-If a team selects a player that has questionable WJC status with no confirmation of participation/ no participation and that player ends up not participating, they will have to be replaced after the draft in the replacement draft.
-Feel free to edit your pick until 1) the next GM chooses a player and/or 2) Halfy has entered it into the draft order below.
