They have 3 goalies, so there's no need for a goalie getting the night off to be on the bench. Halak has played in literally every Islanders game so far this month. They have back-to-back games today and tomorrow. This is a non-event.

again Griess hasn't played in almost a month and Berube hasn't even started a game. Just a day off

As has been said, they have 3 goalies. With all the **** Walsh has put out recently, and all the games that they started Halak anyway, why would you now think that a message is being sent?

much adoo about nothing bro .

carry 3 G's so the dude playing the second of b2b's gets to chill out in pressbox instead of a cold bench

There's no point in him dressing as the backup when they play today. In the event of an injury, or Greiss getting pulled, they can put in Berube and save Halak for today.

Otherwise, you are risking having Halak play back to back days, which they don't want to do.

Trade or message being sent?

Means Nothing....resting him in a back to back and our 3rd goalie sits on bench and watches instead of Halak. Not a Big Deal! Would expect Snow to try and deal Halak at the Trade deadline...unless he gets the offer he can not refuse.

Could be a trade, got to think the Islanders do a shakeup soon, why not trade a goalie who can get them something decent back?
