Based off what I’ve heard, what’s out now is pretty close to the completed game and early access apparently won’t end until the end of the year. Supergiant has also said they may add more content later, depending on the reception of the game, but also hinted that that will likely come with an increased price.
I’ve bought it now, and other than a few characters missing their character art (instead it’s just a generic hooded figure), I’ve found zero reason why one shouldn’t buy it now.

IGNs already reviewed it in early access and they claim its a complete game, 9/10 (I said in the roguelike thread they gave it a 10 but I was wrong).
However, this game is a mainstream media darling for imo political reasons, so I dont know how much I would trust them. This review does spoil a lot of the weapons and powerups so if you like to discover that yourself i wouldn't watch it tbh
